How it works
The missile is the plain artillery shell every other weapon is measured against. It flies a normal ballistic arc, takes the full effect of the wind, and explodes once on contact with the ground or a tank.
Damage falls off with distance: a tank at the blast center takes the full 30, a tank halfway to the edge of the 40 px radius takes about half, and anything past the edge takes nothing. A shell that touches a tank explodes right there, but there is no extra bonus for a direct hit.
When to use it
- Ranging shots. With the most ammo of any weapon (20 in Standard), it is the shell to walk onto a target before switching to something expensive.
- The Daily Shot and the Agent Arena both use plain missiles only, so the feel of this arc is what those modes test.
